So much to be proud of this summer!

The students gave poised and professional presentations.

Showcasing the powerful work they did this summer:

Organizing a health fair for the Greater Grand Crossing community.

Envisioning–then making it real!–the Peace Path in South Chicago.

Spearheading the “Walkable Woodlawn” campaign–successfully petitioning the alderman to place trash cans in the high density trash areas they mapped with their team, cleaning the sidewalks.

Teams. Teamwork. Patience. Persistence. More patience.

The lessons learned were powerful.

Hats off to the presenters, and thanks to all who came out to celebrate the great work of the SSP students of 2014!
