Our team has grown tremendously over the past seven weeks the we’ve spent together, and we’ll truly miss each other! 😦

We learned how to work together by supporting each others’ strengths and working with each other’s personalities. We also learned the value of having patience with each other through understanding each others’ needs and weaknesses.

In working together and bonding with each other, we found some favorite hang out spots. One is the fourth floor lounge area of the BSLC, underneath the mulberry trees in Woodlawn, and under the Dorchester viaduct where we worked on the Green Star Mural for four weeks!

We’ve shared so many laughs together over the summer that it is hard to choose just one. One of our team traditions was playing Heads Up as a morning ice breaker. We had so much fun with playing charades and laughing at each other. We also had a lot of fun with sharing personal stories and creating our health project on teen pregnancy and STI prevention. Our topic is serious, but was also one that had lots of room for inside jokes.

Our biggest victory as a team was finding a community partner to present our workshop to. It took lots of phone calls and emails over the course of a couple weeks, but we accomplished our goal and made a huge impact.

We had an amazing summer of growth, laughter, service, and bonding and we will truly miss seeing each other every day!! ❤
